Hey guys! My heart goes to those who feel lonely in the world. Sometimes in life there’s such a huge void that we feel but guys Jesus is the answer and he uses people to come into our lives and add positivity in it. Each one of you are beautifully and wonderfully made and God has an amazing plan and purpose for each one of you. Satan wants us to be depressed and lonely but Jesus gets us past that and takes us into the light. I love all you guys no matter what or who you are because Jesus is love. I pray that you would be filled with his love and joy, Be blessed and when the bully at school wants too interfere then let Jesus deal with him because with faith you can do anything! The world may not understand you but which truth will we listren too?The truth of man or the truth of jesus which says that we are destined for greatness… Feel free to contact me, would love to be a friend to someone who needs one.

Hi. My name is Erin and I found your website while watching a video of The Fray’s song. It’s funny, every time I hear this song I think about my best friend Christa. She was killed on June 9, 2009 by a drunk driver. She and two other friends were cycling near Tulsa, Oklahoma as a practice for a race that weekend. I was going to come up and see her Monday, but after a bad episode with my health the previous week, I decided to wait until Wednesday to go. It was the first time in two or three years that I could drive that far from where I live without getting too tired. She was killed on Tuesday, and I got the call Wednesday morning. I wish the person who hit her had stayed home like I did. God, I wish I could have been there Monday.

Christa was one of those people who saved others, me included. She showed that life was to be taken head on and with compassion. I always wanted her to find a nice guy and get married, be happy. I ended up being blessed with that wish with my husband Tim. I miss her everyday and have found it impossible to go to her grave for the past two years. This year I intend to make it. Please continue doing what you are doing – it reminds us who still walk on this earth what is at stake and what is important.

I saw the movie “To Save A Life” and it inspired me. I struggled with self-injury for over a year because for me it was the only way to get rid of the emotional pain.. to replace it with physical pain. I was able to stop with the help of Reggie Dabbs, an inpirational speaker that came to my high school, my boyfriend, and God but most of my good friends still do and they often make comments about how they’re going to give up and how badly they want to die. It kills me to think of loosing them because they mean so much to me. I want to make a difference in their life and in other’s lifes also. I look up to Jake as an inspiration and I want to make my life about saving others.

I always knew that these things went on coming from being depressed as a teen myself, but it never hit me until my daughter who is now 16 began cutting years ago. She has battled depression from about the 7th grade and we have never known how to get her help as we don’t have the financial resources for counseling, although the times we have even attempted she didn’t like what they said. I worry about her everyday that she will either do something or ruin her life. She attaches herself to boys who aren’t going to go anywhere and claims to love them. Where do people turn for help when they don’t even feel accepted within the church because they are not of the right social status?

I saw the movie “To Save A Life” and it devistated me that this happens in rela life. I criend my heart ou then realized crying isn’t going to hep. I want to start to make a difference in peoples lifes. To help them and save them from the life they would choose to live. It would hurt me survilly if someone died/killed and I could have prevented it by saying or doing the tiniest think.

I saw this movie after seeing a woman loaded into an ambulance last night for over dosing. She died late last night. They were unable to revive her. A year ago Aug 13 my brother killed himself and i have had many friends die. I am not about to try to prevent death but i plan on and have been planning since 9th grade to make a difference. I’m going to start something. I’m not sure how to go about it… but i really just wanted to say THANK YOU. The movie “How to save a life” and also the song along with this website have made up my mind for me. Im going to start at my high school and hope to expand. Thank you again. All that are in this are making differences. Its amazing. Truly.

I just finished watching the movie “How To Save A Life” and I just needed to say it touched me and I just had to visit the website to see how people are being helped and also HOW TO SAVE A LIFE.
Through personal experience I have had very dark moments and if I knew there was someone I could of talked to via the net (HTSAL) it might of just made it that little bit better.
If you can save a life by just being that person to talk to then hey lets talk away.

P.S. Keep On Keeping On.

Inspired by your web site and contest my students just created a blog and video to help make students aware of how important it is to wear a seat belt. This year we lost a very special student and friend, Angel Anthony 17, because she was not wearing a seat belt during a car accident. You campaign touched my students like I have never seen before. Thanks to you they are now energized to spread Angel’s story and hopefully help save a life by encouraging others to wear their seat belts.

Myself and my students at SCHS send you a heartfelt thank you for posting this site, inspiring us and allowing my us to have the opportunity to share Angel’s story with others. We all agreed that even Angel would have appreciated the efforts you are making to help save a life.
